Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer, Sanjeeb Panda on Monday assumed the charge as the new Twin City Police Commissioner.
Outgoing Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi handed over the charge to Panda at Police Commissionerate Headquarters in Bhubaneswar. Previously, Sanjeeb Panda has also served as Director of Intelligence and ADG of Crime Branch.
On this occasion, the new Twin City Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said, “Elections are nearing and preparations will now begin to conduct the polls safely.
The public should take the initiative to help the police in various areas. With the help of the public, we will take the Police Commissionerate forward, the new Police Commissioner said.
1994-batch IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda was transferred and posted as the Commissioner of Police, Twin City, Bhubaneswar —Cuttack on January 24.
