Puri: Miscreants looted a donation box installed inside the Srimandir near the south gate. The incident came to the fore on Friday morning raising fingers on the security arrangements in the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
According to reports, the personnel of Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) recovered the looted donation box dumped on the rear side of Nrusinghanath Temple. The JTP personnel handed over the empty donation box to the Srimandir administration.
As per reports, the donation box installed under the statue of Bhima was found broken and looted despite strict 24X7 vigil by the Odisha Police and JTP.
Both the JTP and the Odisha Police personnel stand guard after all the doors are closed inside the temple following the Holy Trinity’s Pahuda ritual. But, despite such measures, the donation box was looted and the police are clueless about the miscreants.
