Bolangir: The Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended Puspangini Joshi, Gender Coordinator posted at the Office of the District Project Co-ordinator (Samagra Sikhya) in Bolangir while taking a bribe of Rs 31,000.
According to Vigilance, Puspangini Joshi, Gender Coordinator was caught demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 31,000 from a Headmaster & Ex-Hostel In-charge for adjustment/approval of utilization certificate and issuance of clearance certificate in his favour.
“The entire bribe amount of Rs.31,000 has been recovered from accused Puspangini Joshi and seized,” the Vigilance said.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Joshi from the DA angle. In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.21 dt.20.07.2023 U/s.7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and an investigation is in progress against the accused Gender Co-ordinator Puspangini Joshi, the Vigilance added.
