President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed deep grief over the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.
In her X, Smt Murmu wrote,
“I am deeply distressed to learn about the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. It is a heart-rending disaster. My thoughts and prayers are with the affected people. The nation stands with them in this hour of indescribable grief”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the tragedy has stunned and saddened the nation and described it as heartbreaking beyond words. He said that he has been in continuous communication with Ministers and relevant authorities to ensure swift and effective assistance to those impacted.
In a post on X, he wrote:
