Bhubaneswar: Cold wave condition continues to prevail in several parts of southern Odisha with G Udaygiri in Kandhamal and Semiliguda in Koraput district emerging as coldest on Saturday night.
Night temperature at both the places dropped to 8 degrees C on Saturday night, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Other places that recorded temperatures below 10 degrees C include Kirei of Sundargarh (9.5), Phulbani (9.6). Similarly, Daringibadi, Koraput, Keonjhar recorded 10 degrees C each.
Places reported above 10 degrees C temperature are Bhawanipatan (10.6), Jharsuguda (10.8) Chipilima (10.8) Sundargarh (12.5) and Deogarh (12.5).
Twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar witnessed temperature above 15 degrees C.
The Regional Meteorological Centre, while forecasting chilly conditions for the next two-three days, attributed it to dry and cold winds blowing from the northwest.
