Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm and lightning in next 24 hours, Met department warned on Saturday.
The alert has been issued for the districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal and Rayagada.
A bulletin issued by the IMD, the cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Madhya Maharashtra and neighbourhood now lies over Gujarat Region and neighbourhood. Similarly, the cyclonic circulation over central parts of south Bay of Bengal persists and is now seen between 1.5 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
