Apple has officially announced its phase two retail expansion in India, with four new stores set to open later this year.

The tech giant currently operates two flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi, but soon, Apple will establish new outlets in Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

During Apple’s Q2 2025 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook highlighted the company’s growing presence in India and confirmed that Apple has started hiring for the new stores.

Beyond retail, Apple is shifting more manufacturing to India, particularly for iPhones sold in the U.S. This strategic move comes as a response to rising trade tariffs between the U.S. and China, with Apple diversifying production to minimise impact.

Apple’s revenue hit $95.4 billion in Q2 2025, marking a 5% increase year-over-year. With its growing footprint in India, Apple continues to strengthen its presence in both retail and manufacturing, reinforcing India’s role in its global strategy.
