The incident of gang rape of a tribal girl in Laxmipur area of Koraput district was raised in the Assembly on Friday.

Similarly, senior party MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati said that the Congress has protested against the law and order situation that has arisen in the entire state with the Laxmipur incident.
He said that the Prime Minister was visiting Odisha when a murder took place in Bhubaneswar. Senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik was robbed twice from his Bhubaneswar residence.
