The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, has recommended the transfer of seven high court judges across India.

The decision, made during meetings held on April 15 and 19, seeks to enhance diversity within the judiciary and improve judicial administration.

Additionally, two judges from the Telangana High Court—Justice Perugu Sree Sudha and Justice Kasoju Surendhar—are set to move to the Karnataka and Madras High Courts, respectively. Justice Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao of the Andhra Pradesh High Court will be transferred to the Karnataka High Court.

These transfers underscore the collegium’s commitment to judicial excellence, inclusivity, and administrative strength. The move is expected to facilitate a balanced distribution of expertise across India’s judiciary.
