Global Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh kicked off his Aura India Tour 2026 at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday evening, October 30, pairing chart-topping hits with an indirect response to his past viral controversy.
Performing to a packed crowd of tens of thousands, the singer briefly paused his musical set to address the criticism he faced over his previous “I’m an artist, bro” statement regarding political demonstrations.

Addressing the crowd without directly naming any political entity, Dosanjh delivered a subtle yet firm message:
”I love all of you because I am an artist, bro. I am being quiet, so let me stay quiet. I support all of you. Punjabian nu na sikhaao ladaayia kida ladnaa (Don’t teach Punjabis how to fight).”
The exchange stems back to June 2026, when Dosanjh was asked during an Instagram Live session to react to a Delhi demonstration led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). At the time, the artist remarked that he preferred to stay away from political protests as an artiste. The statement drew sharp criticism from CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.
The concert concluded with high-voltage laser displays projecting the phrases “Main Hoon Punjab” and “I’m an artist” across the stadium.
Dipke Calls for Reconciliation
Following viral clips of Dosanjh’s concert remarks, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke took to social media on Saturday morning to de-escalate the feud, calling on the singer to let bygones be bygones.
Writing an open note on Instagram, Dipke urged the singer to move past the misunderstanding:
“Mitti pao, chhota bhai samajh ke (Let it rest, treat me as your younger brother). Paaji, back in June, when we were protesting, I was a little hurt by your comment… Not because I had anything against you personally, but because I’ve always seen you as someone who speaks up for the cause.”
Dipke reiterated his long-standing admiration for Dosanjh, recalling how he attended the singer’s Chicago concert in May 2026, and praised him for bringing Indian culture to global stages. He concluded his message quoting Dosanjh’s own popular lyric: “Gabru ta vairi nu vi mitha bolda, ni tu ta ferr jatt da pyaar goriye.”
