The highlight of the event was the inauguration of India’s first vertical lift sea bridge, the New Pamban Rail Bridge. Connecting the island town of Rameswaram with the mainland, this marvel of engineering symbolizes the seamless union of technology and tradition.
During the ceremony, Shri Modi emphasized Tamil Nadu’s pivotal role in India’s economic and cultural progress. He highlighted the government’s efforts to promote the Tamil language and heritage, further cementing the state’s importance on the global stage.
The projects are expected to not only boost trade and tourism in Tamil Nadu but also create significant employment opportunities. Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to modernizing India’s infrastructure and ensuring inclusive growth for all regions.
