On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 8,300 crore in Rameswaram.
These include groundbreaking rail and road infrastructure that promise to improve connectivity and foster economic growth in the region.
The highlight of the event was the inauguration of India’s first vertical lift sea bridge, the New Pamban Rail Bridge. Connecting the island town of Rameswaram with the mainland, this marvel of engineering symbolizes the seamless union of technology and tradition.
During the ceremony, Shri Modi emphasized Tamil Nadu’s pivotal role in India’s economic and cultural progress. He highlighted the government’s efforts to promote the Tamil language and heritage, further cementing the state’s importance on the global stage.
