Vishal Chaturvedi’s biographical devotional drama Hanuman Ansh continues to rewrite box office history in its ninth week.
The sleeper hit registered a strong hold on its ninth Saturday, collecting Rs 2 crore nett, marking a minor 20% drop from its Friday collection of Rs 2.50 crore.
The film’s cumulative domestic total now stands at Rs 305.75 crore nett at the Indian box office. Pacing at a strong momentum, Hanuman Ansh is on track to close its ninth weekend at around Rs 7 crore nett, setting a record for the highest ninth-weekend collection in Indian cinema history.
Sleeper Success Defies New Releases
What makes Hanuman Ansh‘s run extraordinary is its ability to maintain footfalls despite stiff competition from high-profile new theatrical releases, including the blockbuster sequel Drishyam: The Conclusion.
Starting with a modest Rs 0.90 crore in its opening week, the film experienced steady word-of-mouth growth before exploding into a massive box office hit in weeks four, five, and six. Trade analysts estimate that based on current daily trajectories, the film will comfortably finish its lifetime domestic run around the Rs 350 crore nett milestone.

About the Film
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh chronicles the life and spiritual transformation of Neem Karoli Baba. The narrative follows a grieving young boy who embarks on a spiritual quest following the death of his mother, ultimately evolving into one of India’s most revered 20th-century saints.
The film’s slow-burn growth from an understated release to a Rs 300-crore juggernaut remains one of the most remarkable box office stories of recent times.
