Odisha is all set to shine on the silver screen as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi officially unveiled the schedule for the 3rd Bhubaneswar Film Festival 2026, promising four days of cinematic brilliance, cultural pride, and global exposure.

The much-awaited festival will run from June 25 to June 28, 2026, at the iconic Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Film lovers can immerse themselves daily from 10 AM to 10 PM in a diverse lineup featuring award-winning national and international films in Odia, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Assamese, Malayalam, and Desia languages.

During the launch event at Lok Seva Bhawan, the Chief Minister interacted with Festival Director Sanjay Pattnaik, Co-Directors Sukant Rath, and Ashok Palit. CM Majhi expressed strong appreciation for the festival’s role in showcasing Odisha’s rich artistic heritage and cinematic talent on the world stage. He announced ambitious plans to elevate the event into a much larger, grander platform starting from 2027.

Festival Director Sanjay Pattnaik extended heartfelt thanks to the Chief Minister and the Department of Odia Language, Literature & Culture for their generous support. “This encouragement is a milestone for the growth of cine-culture in Odisha,” he said, highlighting how government backing is helping Odia cinema reach newer heights.

The festival is expected to draw filmmakers, cinephiles, celebrities, and enthusiasts from across India and beyond, offering a vibrant mix of screenings, discussions, and celebrations that blend tradition with contemporary storytelling.

With its inclusive selection of languages and acclaimed films, the 3rd Bhubaneswar Film Festival is poised to become a major cultural landmark, reinforcing Odisha’s growing prominence in India’s film ecosyste
