Bhubaneswar: At least 24 new ITI colleges will come up in the state soon, informed Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Premananda Nayak in the State Assembly.
The Minister informed that presently, there are 49 govt and 448 private ITI colleges in the State. and the department is now focusing on imparting additional training in various trades and therefore, has decided to open 24 new such institutes.
Besides, Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda informed that Science Centre will be established in all 30 districts.
“Teachers dealing with the subject will be sent to Bangalore for training. The department has decided to send a group of Science teachers to Bangalore on September 24 for the training, in the first phase,” he said during the Question Hour.
