The cold wave continues to grip Odisha and shows no signs of easing. Dry weather dominated the state over the past 24 hours, and minimum temperatures dropped sharply in many areas. As a result, 14 cities recorded night temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported in its latest briefing that night temperatures will remain unchanged across Odisha for the next seven days. Moreover, the prevailing dry and clear skies will sustain the intense cold conditions, particularly during early mornings and late nights.

Consequently, officials advised residents in interior and western Odisha to take precautions against the biting cold. Furthermore, the IMD urged people to stay warm and avoid prolonged exposure to chilly weather. In particular, the department highlighted that vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly must remain protected.
