In a major relief for aspiring international scholars, the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, has officially extended the deadline for online application submissions under the Bidesh Sikhyabruti Scheme.
Eligible candidates now have until September 30, 2026, to complete and submit their applications.
The initial submission deadline, which was previously set for September 19, 2026, has been pushed forward to provide extra time for students preparing their documentation.
Gateway to World-Class Institutions
The Bidesh Sikhyabruti Scheme is designed to support eligible Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) scholars seeking higher education opportunities abroad. Under this financial assistance initiative, eligible candidates can pursue Postgraduate and PhD programs at top 200 QS-ranked foreign universities and institutes.

Candidates interested in applying for the scholarship can submit their forms online through the official Odisha State Scholarship Portal (OSS Portal) at https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in on or before September 30, 2026.
