Koraput: Tightening the noose around the flourishing illegal ganja trade, the police seized 128 kg of the contraband and arrested one person on charges of smuggling the banned drug in Koraput.
According to sources, after a tip-off, the raid was conducted by the police in Lamtaput village under Nandapur Tehsil in Koraput district on Monday and seized the tractor in which the ganja was loaded.
The police have arrested the accused. A case under several sections of the NDPS Act was registered at the Nandapur police station and the accused will be forwarded to the court soon, police said.
