Keonjhar: An elderly man was reportedly trampled to death by an elephant in Juang Sahi under Telkoi forest range of Keonjhar district. Besides, three houses were also destroyed here.
The deceased was identified as Mukuru Natak (61).
Sources said, Mukuru had gone outside his house to attend nature’s call when the wild jumbo attacked him killing him on the spot.
On getting information, forest department personnel reached the spot and seized the body for postmortem. They also pacified the panic-stricken villagers.
