Khurda: A youth was allegedly murdered by some miscreants in Jankia tehsil of Odisha’s Khordha district late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Raghunath Moharana.
According to reports, the incident occured while Raghunath was sleeping on the rooftop of his house when some miscreants crushed his head with a heavy object. Subsequently, he sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Later the matter came to the fore after his family members found Raghunath’s body lying in a pool of blood on the rooftop and informed the police about the same.
On being alerted, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.
Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he might have been murdered by miscreants over some past enmity.
Further investigation is underway into the matter to unearth other details.
