Kataka Youth Arrested for Obscene Posts Against Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi shocked many after the rapid police action.
Officers identified the Instagram account mr_biswa__ during routine social media patrolling on July 4. They spotted AI-generated and morphed photos along with reels that contained vulgar language, obscene gestures and defamatory content.
The arrested person, Biswajit Sahu, lives in the Nua Sahi area under Jagatpur police station. He created and uploaded the objectionable material himself. He downloaded the Chief Minister’s photos from the internet, digitally altered them and used them as thumbnails.
Biswajit Sahu added lewd comments and gestures to spread false information among lakhs of viewers. Police registered case number 101 on July 4 at Bhubaneswar cyber station. They traced the account and arrested the accused within 24 hours. Officers seized one iPhone used to operate the account, screenshots of the posts, downloaded videos and reels, plus other digital evidence. Investigators confirmed the posts aimed to damage the Chief Minister’s reputation deliberately.

Police booked the accused under Indian Penal Code 2023 sections 294(2), 296, 336(2), 336(4), 353(2), 356(2) and Information Technology Act sections 66C, 67 and 67A.
