In a vibrant confluence of health, heritage, and harmony, Odisha is set to host the grand Yoga Mahotsav 2025 on April 7, coinciding with World Health Day.
This event marks the commencement of the 75-day countdown to International Yoga Day (IDY) 2025 and will feature a spectacular Common Yoga Protocol demonstration at the iconic Kalinga Stadium.
Organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) under the Ministry of Ayush, the celebration will witness the participation of distinguished dignitaries, including Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, and Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister, Smt. Pravati Parida.
Since the United Nations proclaimed June 21 as International Yoga Day in 2014, this global movement has seen over 24 crore participants, showcasing the transformative power of yoga. This year’s celebrations are set to achieve new milestones, with ten signature events such as Yoga Sangama, Yoga Maha Kumbh, and Harit Yoga, aimed at spreading wellness and inclusivity.
As the countdown unfolds, the event aspires to ignite a mass movement for health and well-being, leading to the main IDY celebrations on June 21, 2025.
