Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar has successfully concluded Yatri Seva Abhiyan 2026, a comprehensive month-long initiative dedicated to elevating passenger facilitation, accessibility, cleanliness, and overall travel comfort.
Observed from 17 September to 10 October 2026, the drive brought together officials, frontline personnel, and key stakeholders in a unified effort to make every traveler’s journey smoother and more welcoming.
Throughout the campaign, detailed audits and on-ground enhancements were carried out across critical passenger touchpoints. Key focus areas included rigorous cleanliness and hygiene drives, accessibility checks for passengers with special needs, enhanced drinking-water facilities, upgraded signage, modernised flight information displays, and streamlined digital services.
Central to the success of the campaign was a strong focus on real-time passenger feedback and prompt grievance redressal, ensuring service-related observations were resolved without delay. Airport teams and dedicated Yatri Saathis worked tirelessly on the frontline, assisting travellers with care, courtesy, and efficiency.
Speaking on the campaign’s success, airport representatives emphasised that passenger service extends far beyond a structured campaign. While Yatri Seva Abhiyan officially concludes on 10 October, the operational improvements, learnings, and best practices established during this period will serve as a permanent foundation for sustaining high service quality moving forward.
Through continued teamwork, accountability, and a customer-first approach, Biju Patnaik International Airport remains steadfast in its pledge to deliver a safe, comfortable, and world-class airport experience for every traveller.
