Khurda: A woman was killed while another person was injured in a hit-and-run accident near Badapokharia Chowk in Khurda district.
According to sources, the incident took place in the morning when an unidentified vehicle hit the two-wheeler the duo was riding. Reportedly, the vehicle causing the mishap sped away from the spot immediately.
While the woman was killed in the accident, the injured person was rushed to Khurda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
On receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard, sources said.
