A routine journey turned tragic when a 20-year-old woman lost her life in a horrific road accident on National Highway 55 near Anand Nagar Chhak.
The deceased, identified as Lucy, was riding pillion with her husband and young child when a speeding oil tanker struck their bike early this morning. While Lucy succumbed to her injuries instantly, her husband, Rashmi Ranjan, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the local hospital for treatment. Miraculously, their toddler son escaped unharmed.
The incident sparked outrage among local residents, who blocked NH-55 to demand immediate action against the tanker driver and cite poor road conditions as a contributing factor to the tragedy.
