A shocking incident unfolded late last night near the Panchayat office in Malkangiri town, where a woman was found hanging inside her home.
The deceased, identified as Shankari Biswas, was the wife of Rajesh Biswas, son of the late Nirmal Biswas.
Shankari’s body was discovered hanging under suspicious circumstances. Her parental home is located in MPV-23 village under Kalimela police limits. Upon hearing the news, several villagers from MPV-23 rushed to the scene.
Following the incident, Rajesh Biswas reportedly fled the house. Not only Rajesh, but members of Shankari’s in-laws’ family are also said to be absconding. This has raised serious concerns among locals and Shankari’s family, who have alleged that it was not a suicide but a case of murder.
Malkangiri Town Police reached the spot and have launched a detailed investigation. Authorities are currently searching for Rajesh and other family members to uncover the truth behind the woman’s death.
