A high-level review meeting was convened today in the departmental conference room under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department, Shubha Sharma, IAS, with senior officers of the department.

The meeting focused on fast-tracking progress towards the vision of **Developed Odisha 2036**. Several critical decisions were taken to expedite departmental expenditure, fill key vacant posts, and develop simple yet effective Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and drive progress.

Special emphasis was laid on mentoring young engineers and further strengthening the department’s Design Wing to enhance project planning and execution capabilities.

Among those present were Chief Engineer Sagar Mohanty, other Chief Engineers, and senior officers of the department.

The decisions reflect the department’s commitment to improving efficiency, optimising resources, and building a robust institutional framework to achieve long-term water security and infrastructure development goals for Odisha.
