On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Silver Cast Creations announced a landmark project — a biopic titled Maa Vande: The Anthem Of A Mother.
The film will chronicle the inspiring journey of PM Modi, with acclaimed Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan stepping into the lead role.
Produced by Veer Reddy M and directed by Kranthi Kumar CH, the film promises to present a compelling narrative tracing Modi’s rise from his humble beginnings to becoming the Prime Minister of India. A special emphasis will be placed on his relationship with his late mother, Heeraben Modi, offering audiences a glimpse into the personal side of his journey. The film will be released in multiple Indian languages and English to reach a wider audience.
Unni Mukundan’s Transformative Role
Known for his impactful performances in Malayalam cinema, Unni Mukundan expressed excitement about portraying one of the most influential leaders of modern India. The actor revealed that this role will allow him to explore both the political and emotional aspects of Modi’s life.
Mukundan had a memorable meeting with PM Modi on April 24, 2023, during the BJP’s youth conference ‘Yuvam 23’ in Kochi. He fondly recalled the 45-minute conversation — during which PM Modi greeted him in Gujarati with “Kem cho Bhaila” — calling it the “best 45 minutes” of his life.
Powerhouse Technical Team
The film boasts a strong technical lineup, including cinematography by K.K. Senthil Kumar, production design by Sabu Cyril, music by Ravi Basrur, and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Action sequences will be choreographed by King Solomon, promising cinematic grandeur.
Unni Mukundan, best known for his powerful performance as Marco Jr. in Malikappuram (Marco), is expected to deliver another transformative act in Maa Vande, this time bringing to life the persona of PM Modi on screen.
