Keonjhar police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the roadside near Raisuan Railway Overbridge along National Highway 20 on Saturday morning.
The man, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, had a dark complexion and stood about 5 feet 4 inches tall. He wore a black full pant, an army-green full shirt, a white vest, and a khaki belt.
Police said the body was discovered by locals who alerted authorities. Officers from Keonjhar Sadar Police Station reached the spot and began an investigation. Inspector Amit Kumar Bhuyan confirmed that the body was sent to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem and kept in the morgue for identification.
The deceased’s identity remains unknown. Police registered an unnatural death case (No. 39/2026) and are examining nearby areas to trace possible witnesses or missing person reports.
