The Unique Identification Authority of India has signed a significant five-year partnership with the National Forensic Sciences University to enhance cybersecurity and digital forensics capabilities across India.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and improve resilience against evolving cyber threats.
MoU Signed Between Key Officials
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalised between UIDAI CEO Vivek Chandra Verma and Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Director of NFSU’s Gujarat campus. Senior officials from both organisations were present during the signing, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on innovation and security.

The partnership will focus on six key pillars to build a robust cybersecurity ecosystem:
- Academic and Professional Development: Enhancing skills and expertise in cybersecurity and digital forensics

- Research and Development: Advancing technologies such as AI, blockchain, cryptography, and deepfake detection
- Strategic Outreach: Creating opportunities for student placements and expanding awareness initiatives
