Lucknow: At least two people were killed while several sustained injuries in accidents following low visibility caused by dense fog in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr.
According to reports, the incident occurred after nearly 40 vehicles met with an accident due to low visibility caused by dense fog. While the injured were rescued to a nearby hospital, the body of dead persons sent for post-mortem.
The northern states, including national capital Delhi, woke up to a dense fog this morning.
Visibility data and satellite imagery show that dense to very dense layer of fog lies mainly over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, said the weather department.
