Railways has announced the cancellation of several trains in the Kharagpur Division to facilitate critical yard remodelling works at Baleshwar station.
The works form part of the ongoing Narayangarh–Bhadrak third line project and are being undertaken in the interest of passenger safety and infrastructure upgradation.
The following trains will remain cancelled as per the schedule below:
- 68049/68050 Kharagpur–Bhadrak–Kharagpur MEMU will remain cancelled from 29 July 2026 to 11 August 2026.
- 68051/68052 Bhadrak–Baleshwar–Bhadrak MEMU will remain cancelled from 29 July 2026 to 11 August 2026.
- 12821/12822 Howrah–Puri–Howrah Express will remain cancelled from 29 July 2026 to 9 August 2026.
- 12073/12074 Howrah–Bhubaneswar–Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled on 5 August 2026.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and verify the latest train running status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry services before commencing travel.
