Jharsuguda: Train communication has been disrupted partially on Hawarda-Mumbai route after the engine of a stationary passenger train caught fire at Brajarajnagar station in the district on Tuesday evening.
The reason of fire has not been ascertained yet. The railway department suspected short-circuit might be the cause behind the incident.
Fire services personnel have been engaged to douse the flame. Railway department also launched rescue and relief operation to clear the track.
An investigation has been launched to find out the exact cause of fire, officials said.
No casualties or injuries have been reported as all the passengers have been evacuated safely.
