TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has won the prestigious AIDA Gold Award for Improved Revenue Recovery in a Rural Area at EDICON 2026, held in New Delhi.

The award highlights TPCODL’s sustained efforts to strengthen rural power distribution and deepen consumer engagement across Central Odisha. Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, conferred the award during the maiden annual conference of the All-India Discoms Association (AIDA).

The recognition acknowledges TPCODL’s focused approach towards operational discipline, technology adoption, and community-centric reforms aimed at improving service delivery and financial sustainability in rural areas.

Commenting on the achievement, Arvind Singh, CEO of TPCODL, said: “This Award from AIDA reflects the commitment of our teams working across rural Central Odisha. Through operational discipline, technology adoption and active consumer engagement, we are strengthening power distribution while ensuring reliable and sustainable electricity services for our communities.”

The AIDA Awards witnessed participation from 29 DISCOMs across India, with 78 nominations evaluated by an independent jury of industry experts. Both public and private utilities were recognised across multiple categories.

Organised over two days, EDICON 2026 brought together policymakers, regulators, and power sector leaders to deliberate on critical issues such as DISCOM viability, smart meter data utilisation, renewable energy integration, and improvement in electricity supply quality and reliability.

This recognition further reinforces TPCODL’s role in enabling reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity services for rural communities across Central Odisha, supporting inclusive growth and development.
