Apple is preparing to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro at its upcoming product showcase, titled “Pro and Tell,” scheduled for Oct 28 in Los Angeles.
The launch marks a monumental shift for the company’s laptop line, which has historically relied exclusively on a physical keyboard and trackpad for macOS navigation.
According to reports, the redesigned premium laptops will feature vibrant OLED displays—replacing current mini-LED panels—and introduce an iPhone-inspired Dynamic Island to replace the display notch.
Expected to arrive in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, the new models will adopt a lighter chassis while integrating touch controls directly into macOS alongside conventional inputs.
Powered by Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, these touch-enabled flagships could see a price jump of up to $500 over current starting prices due to high-end OLED components.
The product-experience event is also expected to showcase an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro retaining the current chassis, an M6-powered iMac update, and a refreshed iPad mini featuring an OLED panel and a landscape front camera. While Apple has kept official specs under wraps, announcements are expected via press releases and videos.
