Baripada: Tigress Zeenat, currently roaming in Jhargram forest in West Bengal, will be brought back to Similipal reserve through tranquilization.
Prakash Chand Gogineni, Field Director of Similipal Tiger Reserve, stated that Zeenat is moving within West Bengal, with the Odisha and West Bengal forest departments tracking it round the clock. Zeenat is reportedly fit and fine, with efforts underway to bring it back through tranquilization.
Zeenat, originally from Maharashtra, was released into Similipal and later crossed the Odisha border into Jharkhand. After roaming freely for several days, it travelled to West Bengal. Multiple teams from the Odisha and Bengal forest departments are tracking the big cat’s movements, with all necessary equipment ready for tranquilization.
