Jharsuguda: A man, who was arrested on charges of theft, escaped from the custody of the Sadar police station in the Jharsuguda district today.
As per reports, the accused, whose identity was not known immediately, escaped from the custody shortly before being shifted to court.
Police have registered a case against the accused and shared details with other police stations of the area.
A senior police official said they are also checking the negligence of cops and if they are found guilty, stern action will be taken against them, said sources.
