Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed at Khandagiri Chhak here after a man was found carrying the body of his 8-month-old baby girl in a bag.
According to reports, one Santosh Sahoo, a resident of Aiginia on the outskirts of the capital city, was carrying the body of his dead baby in a bag. However, his bag fell on the busy streets and soon people surrounded him suspecting him a child lifter.
After quizzing about the incident, locals handed him to police.
On being informed, Santosh’s wife reached the police station along with the death certificate of the deceased child. The documents were then verified, and Santosh was released.
