The trailer for the new film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, was released on September 15.
The two-minute, fifty-four-second trailer promises a mix of romance and comedy as the two leads fake a relationship to win back their exes, only to fall in love for real.
Plot and Key Highlights
The trailer introduces Varun Dhawan’s character, Sunny, who is heartbroken after his proposal to Sanya Malhotra is rejected. To complicate matters, Sanya is set to marry Rohit Saraf, who happens to be Janhvi Kapoor’s ex-boyfriend. In a scheme to make their exes jealous and halt the wedding, Sunny and Janhvi decide to pretend to be a couple.
The trailer features a series of hilarious moments and witty dialogue, including a scene where the characters comically compare their financial statuses. The film, which is directed by Shashank Khaitan (known for Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania), is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 2, 2025.
