Sunil Pradhan elected as PCI Treasurer

New Delhi: Two-time Paralympics gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia was on Saturday elected unopposed as the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) president, succeeding another celebrated para athlete Deepa Malik.
 
Meanwhile, Following a rigorous and transparent election process, the new leadership team has been declared, marking a new chapter in the development of para sports in India.
 
Elections were conducted by Shri. Umesh Sinha, IAS (Retd.,) Former Secretary General, Election Commission of India, as Returning Officer, PCI Elections 2024 along with Shri. Tapas Kumar Bhattacharya, Former Senior Principal Secretary, Election Commission of India, Assistant Returning Officer, PCI Elections 2024
 
The newly elected members of the Paralympic Committee of India have shown a strong commitment to advancing the interests of para athletes and promoting inclusivity in sports. Their dedication to the para sports community and their vision for the future of Indian para sports are commendable.
