Subarnapur: Odisha Vigilance Sleuths on Saturday arrested the General Manager of District Industries Center in Subarnapur for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
The accused has been identified as Bipin Kumar Dehuri, OIS-I, General Manager (GM), District Industries Center(DIC), Subarnapur.
Dehuri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking a bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant to process and approve a loan application of the complainant for sanction of a loan under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) in his favour. The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Dehury and seized.
Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Dehury from the DA angle.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No. 32 dt.20.12.2024 U/s 7 P.C(Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against the accused.
