Tamil cinema was shaken after the tragic death of stunt artist Raju during a shoot for director Pa Ranjith’s upcoming film starring Arya.
Raju reportedly died while executing a high-risk car toppling sequence.
Actor Vishal, who had collaborated with Raju in several films, shared his grief on social media, remembering the late artist as “brave” and deeply committed to his work. “So difficult to digest the fact that stunt artist Raju passed away while doing a car toppling sequence. I’ve known him for years. He’s performed countless risky stunts in my films,” Vishal wrote.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the production team. The incident has sparked renewed conversations around on-set safety protocols, especially during stunt choreography.
The Tamil film industry and fans are mourning the untimely loss of a professional who risked it all for cinematic realism.
