Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two more persons on Sunday for their involvement in circulation of fake currency notes from Deogarh.
The two accused are Biswanath Acharya and Trinath Dash. Both belong to Deogarh district, officials said.
The STF had arrested main accused Tushar Kumar Biswal on Saturday from Dhenkanal and seized counterfeit currency notes with face value worth Rs 1.96 lakh from his possession.
The 31-year-old Tushar of Kachrisahi village in Deogarh district was nabbed from Rathagada under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits.
As per reports, during search, fake Indian currency notes (FICN) worth Rs 1,90,600 and other incriminating articles were seized from the possession of the accused. A case was registered in the Dhenkanal Sadar police station.
The STF also seized papers used for printing fake notes, laptop, and two printers.
Several criminal cases are pending against the accused in different police stations. Trinath had been arrested in a loot case a few months ago and was out on bail.
The STF had busted fake currency note racket in the State at four places in the current year, STF DSP SN Rath said.
