Reality show star Siwet Tomar has broken his silence following his sudden eviction from Rise & Fall Season 2. His exit came after a heated confrontation with politician and commentator Shehzad Poonawalla during the third episode, which quickly escalated and left Shehzad’s clothes torn.
Taking to Instagram, Siwet shared a video message denying that he physically struck Shehzad, asserting that he only grabbed him by the collar during an intense argument.
Key Allegations and Counter-Claims by Siwet Tomar
Siwet maintained that he did not hit Shehzad, explaining that if he had intended to resort to violence, he had ample time to do so without interference. He stated, “Main dhun deta vahin pe. Sirf collar pakda tha aur samjha raha tha.”
Siwet alleged that Shehzad provoked him over religion and caste repeatedly over several days, culminating in 15 to 20 minutes of continuous instigation right before the incident.
Siwet argued that the show had strict rules prohibiting political and religious discussions, criticizing production for editing out crucial context, including Swara Bhaskar’s alleged apology regarding her past Jauhar remarks.
While defending his emotional outburst, Siwet admitted that losing his temper and resorting to physical intimidation was wrong, adding that he deeply regretted having to leave the show when he wanted to win.
Background of the Fallout
The tension between the contestants built up progressively over the opening episodes. Initially, Siwet and Shehzad found common ground over objections to Swara Bhaskar’s views. However, the alliance shattered after Siwet sat down to clear misunderstandings with Swara directly, leading Shehzad to turn on him.
According to Siwet, the ongoing friction eventually boiled over into personal and religious remarks, pushing him to confront Shehzad directly before security and cameras intervened.
