Ahead of the high-voltage India–South Africa T20 match, Team India players visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri to seek divine blessings.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav arrived with his wife, while head coach Gautam Gambhir accompanied players Tilak Varma and Jitesh Sharma for the spiritual darshan. Other coaches also joined the team during the visit.

The cricketers offered prayers to Lord Jagannath under strict security arrangements inside the temple premises. Devotees witnessed the players’ disciplined visit, which reflected their faith and reverence before stepping into the crucial encounter.

Inside the temple, the players had darshan of the Chaturdha Bigraha at the Ratna Singhasan along with other deities. District Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida and SP Prateek Singh were present to oversee the arrangements, ensuring smooth conduct of the visit.

During entry into the temple, Captain Suryakumar Yadav greeted devotees with a heartfelt “Jai Jagannath,” drawing attention and admiration from those present.

After completing the darshan, the players returned to Bhubaneswar to prepare for the evening’s match. The visit highlighted the blend of tradition and sport, as Team India balanced their preparations with spiritual devotion.

Large crowds gathered in Puri to catch a glimpse of the cricketers, underscoring the excitement surrounding both the temple visit and the upcoming T20 clash.
