India’s top badminton pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, sailed into the round of 16 at the Singapore Open 2025, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, after defeating Malaysia’s Muhammad Haikal and Choong Hon Jian in a swift 37-minute match. The duo showcased their skill and coordination, securing a 21-16, 21-13 victory.


Meanwhile, Lakshya Sen had an unfortunate exit after retiring hurt during his round of 32 clash against Lin Chun-yi of Chinese Taipei. The gripping encounter was in a deciding set when Sen withdrew, trailing 5-13.

In the mixed doubles category, Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Gadde emerged victorious against the American pair Chen Zhi Yi and Francesca Corbett, clinching a 21-16, 21-19 win in 35 minutes.
