Captain Shubman Gill has officially joined the Gujarat Titans squad as the team gears up for the 2026 Indian Premier League season.

The franchise confirmed its initial fixtures, beginning with an away clash against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on March 31.

Gill will lead the Titans back to Ahmedabad on April 4 for their first home game against the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The team will then travel for two more away fixtures, facing Delhi Capitals on April 8 and Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule for the first phase of IPL 2026, which runs from March 28 to April 12. The season opener will feature defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Matches will be played across ten venues, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad.

Gujarat Titans have built a reputation as one of the most consistent teams in the league. They reached the playoffs in three of their first four seasons and won the title in their debut campaign in 2022. In 2025, the Gill-led side recorded nine wins, four losses, and one no-result. With a strong squad featuring stars like Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, and Mohammed Siraj, the Titans aim to secure their second IPL crown.
