Bhubaneswar: A four-day gala event to celebrate Women’s Day “She Unlimited” organised by RED FM Odisha at Esplanade One Mall in Bhubaneswar kicked off on Saturday evening on a glittering note.
Salendra Ganda, Principal, ODM Global School and Parth Prateem Nayak, Center Head, Esplanade One Mall, both inaugurated the event by lighting lamp in presence of other dignitaries, and participants with adherence to Covid protocol.
The Day 1 of the event saw a Talent Hunt programme for girls in the age group of 10 – 18, where they showcased their hidden talent in the field of singing, dancing, drama, recitation, x-factor, etc.
The celebrations kick-started with an enthralling Odissi dance performance & Tabla and followed by showcasing various other performances by the young participants. Ollywood actress Poonam Mishra also graced the occasion and distributed prizes among the participants.
Tomorrow, the Day 2 event “Ghar Ki Shakti” will involve homemakers participating in a fun session comprising of some very cool games and questions centered on home management, cooking recipes, etc.
On Day 3 (7th March), a Self Defense demonstration will be done by woman martial arts experts, to educate the women population and women visitors at the mall to learn basic self defense acts to protect themselves on their own. This will be followed by a fashion show featuring women in the age group 18 – 28 and musical performances by popular Ollywood singers Navya Jaiti and Pragyan Hota.
The concluding day of the event (8th March), will see “Womentors of Odisha” – This will be a session with six ultimate mentors of Odisha from different fields sharing their stories on overcoming all odds to be where they are and how every woman should focus on being self-dependent and carve a space for herself. The six Womentors will be from Health, Education, Start-Up, Entertainment, Real Estate, and FMCG.
The event will be followed by the felicitation of eight Unsung Women Achievers who are doing incredible work in their respective fields in Odisha.
