Senior IAS Officer Suresh Kumar Vashishth Assumes Charge as Principal Secretary of SSEPD Dept

Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Suresh Kumar Vashishth today took charge as Principal Secretary of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), Government of Odisha.


Upon assuming office, Vashishth was warmly welcomed by Director Parul Patawari, Special Secretary Rajani Jani, Financial Advisor and Special Secretary Jayashree Tripathy, Additional Secretaries Deepak Routray and Sonia Behera, along with other senior officers and staff of the department.

The new Principal Secretary received a detailed briefing from the officers on the department’s ongoing programmes and initiatives.

Addressing the team, Vashishth stressed the importance of streamlining departmental processes and urged all officers to extend full cooperation for the effective and timely implementation of welfare-oriented schemes aimed at empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring entitlements for senior citizens.

The Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities plays a pivotal role in formulating and executing policies that support vulnerable sections of society in Odisha.
