German rock band Scorpions cancelled its four-city Coming Home India tour just three days before it was set to begin, citing unforeseen medical circumstances affecting band members.
The announcement came on April 18 from promoter BookMyShow Live, ahead of the first scheduled concert in Shillong.
The tour, planned between April 21 and 30, included shows in Shillong, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. It would have marked the band’s first India performances since 2007, sparking immense excitement among fans. Organisers expressed regret and apologised for the sudden cancellation, assuring that ticket refunds will be processed automatically within 7–10 working days.
The Coming Home tour was part of Scorpions’ 60-year legacy celebration, and fans had eagerly anticipated the return of vocalist Klaus Meine and his bandmates. The group conveyed its intent to perform in India once health conditions and scheduling allow. Meine had earlier described the band as “still passionate and excited to go on this road ahead.”
BookMyShow Live confirmed that refunds will be credited directly to the original payment method, requiring no action from ticket holders. The organisers said the decision was made to prioritise the health and recovery of affected members.
The cancellation ends an 18-year wait for Indian fans, but leaves hope for a future return once circumstances improve.
