Sony LIV has officially unveiled the first look of Scam 2010, the third instalment in its critically acclaimed financial thriller franchise.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta returns behind the camera to direct the upcoming series, which is produced by Applause Entertainment alongside Birla Studios. Actor Siddharth Bodke takes centre stage in the lead role, portraying the late Sahara Group founder Subrata Roy.
Inspired by journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay’s book Sahara: The Untold Story, the new season delves into the meteoric rise and subsequent legal controversies surrounding the business tycoon.
The introductory teaser bridges the franchise’s history, featuring appearances by Pratik Gandhi (Scam 1992) and Gagan Dev Riar (Scam 2003) before introducing Bodke in character as Roy walking through a lavish hotel corridor.
Reflecting on the role, Bodke called the experience both demanding and deeply rewarding. He shared that his primary focus was exploring the driving forces behind Roy’s larger-than-life public persona to understand the real person behind the controversy.
Bodke, recognised for his work in Marathi television, theatre (Ananya), and popular Hindi serials like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, carries the mantle for the franchise’s next chapter. Scam 2010 is scheduled to stream exclusively on Sony LIV in January 2027.
